MESSAGE FROM THE END OF YEAR 2018
I confess that I am honoured and pleased to be here to greet and congratulate colleagues and to say a few words about the year 2018.

DEAR COLLEAGUES
IN DECEMBER 2017, ON THE OCCASION OF THE YEAR'S PASSAGE, WE HAD A PERSPECTIVE FOR THE YEAR 2018 AND WE DEFINE SUPREME OBJECTIVES OF THE COMPANY IN THE ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL PLAN, IN THE OPERATIONAL BUSINESS PLAN AND IMPROVEMENTS OF THE CONDITIONS OF THE WORKERS.
IN THE FOLLOWING OF THE OBJECTIVES, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS DEFINED A SET OF INITIATIVES AND PLANS WHICH, CONGREGATING THE EXISTING SYNERGIES, IT WAS BEEN POSSIBLE TO REACH THE DATE TODAY WITH A SATISFACTORY BALANCE. INFLUENCED BY FACTORS OF VARIOUS ORDERS, INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL, THE RESULTS WE CAN PRESENT ARE NOT SO GOOD, BUT THEY ARE NOT SO BAD.
ON THE ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL PLAN
IT WAS EXPECTING THAT THE RESOURCES PROJECTED IN THE 2018 BUDGET, RESULTING FROM THE SALE OF ENERGY, TO BE TRANSLATED INTO INCOME AND TO SOLVE AND MEET THE NEEDS OF TREASURY. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS SOON REALIZED THAT THE MODEL IN THE CHAIN OF VALUES AND THE ASSUMPTIONS DETERMINED FOR THE COMMERCIAL RELATIONSHIP DO NOT CORRESPOND WITH OUR SELECTED OBJECTIVES LAUNCHED AN INITIATIVE IN THE FINANCIAL MARKET AND IN THE NATIONAL BANK WHOSE OBJECTIVE CONSIDERED IN THE OBTAINMENT OF A FINANCING TO THE TREASURY; THIS OBJECTIVE WAS NOT OBTAINED DUE TO THE EXISTENCE OF LIABILITIES. FOR THAT REASON THE REVENUE WAS LIMITED TO THE REMEDIES APPROPRIATE BETWEEN THE THREE COMPANIES THAT SERVED ONLY TO SUPPORT THE EXPENSES WITH THE PERSONNEL.
ON THE OPERATIONAL BUSINESS PLAN
TO PASS THE DIFFICULTIES ALREADY REFERRED IN THE FINANCIAL PLAN THANKS TO THE DETERMINATION OF THE TECHNICIANS AND THE IMAGINTIVE POWER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, AND THE FACT OF TERMS GETTING NEW THERMAL AND WATER PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES, IT HAS BEEN POSSIBLE TO MAINTAIN THE AVAILABILITY LEVELS OF THE PRODUCTION OF NATIONAL DEPARTMENT SUPPORT (WATER PRODUCTION: 98%, THERMAL PRODUCTION, AVERAGE: 77%).
ON THE CORPORATE MANAGEMENT PLAN
IN THIS FIELD WORK HAS BEEN DONE IN THE INTUIT TO ADOPT A DIFFERENT STYLE AND A NEW CULTURE OF MANAGEMENT ADAPTED TO THE CURRENT CONTEXT, A DIFFERENT WAY OF THINKING AND DOING, A SPIRIT OF PROTECTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE COMPANY'S PATRIMONIAL GOODS AND A VISION OF THE FUTURE . EFFORTS ARE BEING DEVELOPED FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE WORKING CONDITIONS AND SOCIAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL WORKERS, BEING ONE OF THE WAYS TO ACHIEVE THIS OBJECTIVE, THE UNION AND THE SYNERGIES OF ALL, RETURNED TO THE MATERIALIZATION OF THE COST REDUCTION PROGRAM; DISCIPLINE AT ALL LEVELS AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE RULES AND PROCEDURES ESTABLISHED AS WELL AS THE RESPECT TO THE INSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY ARE CONTRIBUTIVE FACTORS IN THE SCOPE OF THIS OBJECTIVE. IT WAS WITH THIS VISION THAT THE FIRST NATIONAL MEETING OF FILES OF PRODEL WAS SUCCESSFULLY ACHIEVED IN WHICH ALL RESPONSIBLE PARTIES WERE PARTICIPATED IN THE VARIOUS SCHEDULED APPROACHES AND IN THE CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS THAT IN THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS ARE TO BE ANALYZED FOR THEIR ADOPTION. WITH REGARD TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF WORKING CONDITIONS, A PROCESS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF TRANSPORTATION METHODS IS IN PROGRESS, A PUBLIC COMPETITION FOR THE ACQUISITION OF INDIVIDUAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT, SOME OF WHICH ARE ALREADY AVAILABLE FOR THEIR OCCUPATION, IS IN PROGRESS. IT IS IMPORTANT TO REFER TO THE RECENT DELIVERY OF 34 RESIDENCIES TO THE REFORMED WORKERS OF THE AH CAMBAMBE.
THE PUBLIC COMPETITION FOR THE ACQUISITION OF INDIVIDUAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT IS IN PROGRESS.
IT IS INTENDED THAT A HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT LEVEL IS MADE A TECHNICAL REALIZATION WORK, THIS PROCESS, ORIENTED TO STRENGTHEN THE CAPACITY OF OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE CENTERS THROUGH TECHNICAL PROFESSIONALIZATION AS WELL AS THE URGENT PREPARATION OF A STUDY FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE NEW SCHEDULE OF SHIFTS. EVEN AS REGARDS THE MANAGEMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES IT IS ORIENTED TO PREPARE A ROBUST TRAINING PROGRAM COMPLETING ON JOB TRAINING, LECTURES AND SEMINARS AND OTHER TYPES OF KNOWLEDGE TRAINING THAT MEET THE OBJECTIVES OF THE COMPANY.
TO REFER ALSO THE RESTRUCTURING PROJECT OF THE ENGINEERING AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT DIRECTORATE AND THE TRAINING OF ITS MEMBERS, BACKED TO SUPPORT THE MAINTENANCE OF EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS AND CONSEQUENTLY, THE REDUCTION OF INDISPONIBILITIES. IN SUM, WE WORK WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF RAISING THE LEVELS OF MOTIVATION OF THE WORKERS.
RELATIONSHIP WITH THE UNION OF WORKERS
THE UNION OF WORKERS PERFORMS A VERY IMPORTANT ROLE WHEN WELL UNDERSTOOD. THE CIVILIZED ROLE OF THE TRADE UNIONS AND THE PRESSURES ENCOURAGED BY THESE PARTIES TO THE PATRONAL ENTITIES, IN DEFENSE OF THE LEGITIMATE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE WORKERS HELP TO IMPROVE THE SERVICES AND TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS OF THE WORKERS, WHICH ALSO CONSTITUTE OBJECTIVES OF THE EMPLOYER. IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THIS UNDERSTANDING THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAS INTENDED TO IMPROVE THE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE TRADE UNION, WE ARE PLEASED TO INFORM THAT ADVISE THAT WERE BROUGHT TOWARDS NEGOTIATIONS, WHOSE RESULTS ARE FORTUNATELY GOOD, OF WHICH HIGHLIGHTS THE RESOLUTION OF THE QUESTION OF SALARY EQUITY, THE SALARY INCREASE TO BE IMPLEMENTED BY JANUARY 2019; THE NEGOTIATIONS IN PROGRESS WITH THE SACRED HOPE CLINIC FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE MEDICAL AND MEDICINAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY; REHABILITATION WORK AND IMPROVEMENTS OF THE CONDITIONS OF PRODEL MEDICAL CENTERS; IN CONCLUSION THE PROCESS OF LEGALIZATION OF HEALTHCARE CENTERS TO LAUNCH A PUBLIC COMPETITION FOR THE OUTSOURCING OF THE MANAGEMENT OF THE SAME.
PROSPECTS
BY 2019, JANUARY, SOME SUPERVISORY DECISIONS CONSUBSTANCIATED IN SUPPRESSION OF THE SUBSIDY ON PRICES AND CONSEQUENTLY, THE MATERIALIZATION OF A NEW ENERGY SALE TARIFF IMPLEMENTED ARE MATERIALIZED. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THESE DECISIONS WILL ENCOURAGE THAT MANAGERS AND WORKERS ADOPT A RADICALLY DIFFERENT POSITION, AS MENTIONED BEFORE, THE WAY OF THINKING, THE WAY TO ACT AND THE WAY TO DO. WE WILL HAVE TO BE MUCH MORE DEMANDING AND RIGOROUS. WE WILL HAVE TO TRANSFORM PRODEL INTO A COMPANY OF RESULTS THAT ALLOW THAT IN FUTURE CAN ASSUME THE COMMITMENT AND CHALLENGE OF A MANAGEMENT MODEL BASED ON CONTRACT-PROGRAM.

I EXHORT ALL TO DEVELOP FOR WORK A SPIRIT OF MANSION, COMPANHEIRISM AND COLLABORATION SO THAT THE EXPECTED EXPECTATIONS CAN BE ACHIEVED.
