CT CAZENGA is a Turbine Thermal Power Plant of 185.2 MW made up of 7 Turbines. It was the first thermal power station installed in Luanda and inaugurated on November 8, 1979 with only one turbine the GTG I. This plant has the following turbines: GTG I with 24.4 MW; GTG II was set up in 1985 and started to be operated on 12 October with 28.8 MW; The GTG III started operating in May 1991 with 40 MW;
GTGs IV and V came on stream in 2002 with 22.4 MW each; GTGs VI and VII came on stream in 2011 with 22 MW each. In 2006, GTGs I, II and III were rehabilitated. Power to GTG II for 30 MW.
In 2011 the GTG II suffered a further increase of Power to 32 MW.
Central is located in the Municipality of Cazenga, Sonef Neighborhood in Luanda.
